Lot Description
An early Victorian silver key wind pair case pocket watch, the white enamel dial having black Roman numeral hour markers and outer minute track, the plain cases, hallmarked London 1842, makers mark WC, the outer case complete with several watch papers, fitted with a gilt full plate fusee and chain movement signed James Harris, Witney, with verge escapement, undersprung balance and pierced balance cock. Case diameter 55mm.

Pair-case pocket watch, key winding manual movement is currently functioning, dial has a crack radiating out from the centre towards the 'XI' numeral, dial also has some scratches and small marks, hands show marks, glass has a chip to the edge between the 'VIII' and 'IX' numerals, glass also shows some small marks, case has scratches as a result of general use, case has scratches by the pendent and a scratch all around the case which looks to be caused by being inside the outer case, back of the case has light dents and marks, outer case shows noticeable dents to the rear towards the edge.
