Lot Description

A turn of the century base metal keyless wind open face eight day pocket watch, the white three quarter dial with applied blue enamel hourly markers and silver tone Roman numerals, round engraved case with scene to the reverse depicting a trotting horse, unsigned movement with club tooth lever escapement and overcoil hairspring. Case diameter 50mm. With presentation box.

Open face eight day pocket watch, the movement is currently functioning, case appears to be in a quite good condition but it shows some small black spots in few places, it might be only a dirt, hands are slightly darkened, glass shows some superficial scratches to the whole surface, case is also scratched as a result of general use, hardly darkened to the crown with discolourations in various places and small damages to the sides probably due to the opening of the back of the case.
