Lot Description

A silver key wind and set open face pocket watch, the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals bordered by a minute track with Arabic divisions, the consular case with Chester hallmark possibly 1887, fitted with a verge fusee London movement having pierced balance cock, diamond endstone, and round pillars, numbered 55. Case diameter 44mm.

Open faced pocket watch, key winding manual movement is currently functioning, dial has some small marks, hands appear to be differing colours, glass has various chips to the edges and what appears to be the remains of glue, glass also has small marks and scratches, case has scratches, dints and marks as a result of general use, case band has scratches by the lip to open the front, marks to the rear which look to be caused by a stick-on label, inner back cover has two small dents, pendent and bow show scratches, marks and tarnishing.
