Lot 127

Lot Description

A pair of white metal open salts, each of plain circular form with inset coin to the base and standing on three hoof feet, with later glass liners (unmarked);  together with a similar ladle bowl, also inset with a coin (handle deficient).  Gross combined weight 3.2 ozt (100 grams). (3).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The salts and ladle bowl display poor condition with general scratches, marks and tarnishing and numerous dents and dints. The salts appear to be set with early eighteenth century Shillings, Queen Ann, the ladle bowl late seventeenth century, William III. The coins are very worn and we are unable to confirm authenticity.
