A 1940's silver caster, the octagonal sided baluster form on footed base and the detachable lid pierced with stylised foliate and other decorative motifs. Hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd., London 1940. Maximum height measuring 8 inches (20cm), weight 9 ozt (280 grams).

Condition Report
The caster displays general scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Some noticeable surface tarnishing . There appears to have been some loss of definition to the finial. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark partly distorted, also signed to the underside this is clear and legible.
