Lot Description

A pair of Victorian silver bonbon dishes of circular stamped and pierced form with details of bows and swags, each raised above four ball feet, hallmarked Birmingham 1896 with the maker's mark T.W, maximum diameter  measuring 4 1/4 inches (10.5 cm). Together with  an Edwardian silver bonbon dish of pierced oval form and  embossed with chinoiserie scenes, hallmarked  William Aitken Birmingham 1902, length measuring 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm). Gross combined weight 2.8 ozt (89 grams).

The pair of bonbon dishes appear in good condition, bright and clean. There are general scratches, marks and tarnishing but look to have been recently polished. The ball feet have caused some relief to the interior. The hallmarks are clear and legible. The Edwardian bonbon dish also displaying general scratches, marks and heavy tarnishing. A number of tears visible to the rim of the silver. Remnants of sticky labels to the base. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
