Lot Description

A pair of George III open salts florally embossed and each raised above three shell mounted hoof feet. Hallmarked  David Hennell I & Robert Hennell I London 1768, gross weight 5 ozt (155 grams). Together with two associated plated spade condiment spoons and a plated trinket box at fault. (3).

The pair of open salts display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use, impressions of the feet are visible to the interior, the hallmarks are partly rubbed but legible. The trinket box is in very poor condition, heavily discoloured to the interior, the mother of pearl lid is chipped and is extremely loose in position and easily removed. The plated spade condiment spoons display general scratches, marks and tarnishing.
