Lot Description

Edwardian silver match box holder, the lid embossed with a stag, hallmarked Sydney & Co Birmingham 1901, a/f. Together with a 1950's silver swivel stick, an early twentieth century small hinged vanity pot and a modern silver napkin ring. Gross combined weight 1.6 ozt (49 grams).

All items within the lot display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The Edwardian silver match box holder also displaying significant damage with dents and two tears to the base. The small circular vanity pot displays  some creases/dints, the hinge allows sideways movement and the interior has previously been gilded, this has now worn. The napkin appears heavily tarnished. The vanity pot is hallmarked Birmingham 1911 and the diameter measures 39 mm. The napkin ring is hallmarked Birmingham 1962 and the swivel stick Birmingham 1954.
