Lot Description

A possibly Georgian base metal key wind open face pocket watch by H Thomas of London, the white enamel dial having black Roman numeral hour markers surrounded by an outer minute track, the consular case fitted with a signed gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement with pierced balance cock. Case diameter 50mm.

Silver open face pocket watch, the fusee key wind movement is currently not functioning with the balance staff damaged along with the contrate wheel pinion and pivot, more faults may be found but these are the obvious with preliminary examinations, dial has some damage around the 4 o'clock position together with surface scratches in other various places, hands show some corrosion with the minute hand being the worse of the two, glass has chips and scratches from general wear with a more dominant chip in the 11 o'clock position, bezel and case have dents and scratches through general wear with nothing too detrimental.
