Lot Description

A George III silver pair case key wind pocket watch by Edmond Richards of Guernsey, the white enamel dial, signed Nicholas Quertier, having black Arabic numeral hour markers, surrounded by an outer minute track, the plain cases, both hallmarked London 1808, the outer case with watch papers, fitted with a signed gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement, undersprung balance and diamond end stone. Outer case diameter 54mm. Bezel is damaged and requires repair.

George III pocket silver pocket watch, the verge key wind fusee movement is currently functioning, dial has some cracks to the rim between 4 and 6 o'clock with some debris on the surface, hour hand has been broken off with the minute hand slightly scratched and tarnished with age, glass is missing, bezel is damaged between 4 and 6 o'clock and the inside case is scratched with signs of age, outside case is tarnished with scratches, dents to the rear and chips around the front aperture. locking clasp is in working order.
