Lot Description

A Victorian 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch, the gold tone three colour dial with raised floral decoration and Roman numerals, round case with engine turned outer edge and milled band, hallmarked London 1897, the unsigned going barrel movement with train jewelling and club tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 42mm. Together with a 9ct gold Albert chain. Total weight of watch 84.8gms, chain 23.5gms.

Open faced pocket watch, key winding manual movement is not currently functioning, dial has some scratches, hands show marks, glass show marks and scratches, case has marks and scratches as a result of general use, case band appears to have various small dents, back of the case also has a small dent, inner back case has scratches around the key winding hole, bow shows wear to the plating.


Albert chain is displaying scratches, marks and tarnishing to the whole, appears to be repairs to the chain in two places, clasps appear to be tight and secure and show general marks and scratches, keys show marks, scratches and patches of tarnishing.
