Lot Description

A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch, the white enamel dial having black Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, outer minute track, the round case with milled band, hallmarked Chester 1860, fitted with a going barrel movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement, bi-metal compensation balance . Case diameter 54mm.

Open faced pocket watch, key wind manual movement is currently functioning, dial has various visible cracks as well as small marks, hands show marks and tarnishing, glass appears to be in good condition with light marks, case has scratches and marks as a result of general use, case has some tiny dints, milled case band shows wear, inner back cover has scratches and a patch of tarnishing, hinges show wear to the corners.
