Lot Description

A diamond and multi-gem insect brooch. Designed as a fly composed of a circular-shape sapphire body, rose-cut diamond wings and circular-shape ruby eyes to the plain bar with single sapphire termination. Length 5cms.

Condition Report

The brooch is in overall good condition. The diamond point detail is bright and lively. The sapphires are fairly well matched. The large central sapphire has a stronger blue hue. The ruby eyes are not well matched in colour. All settings will need attention. Nibbles, chips and scratches can be seen, in keeping with age.
