Lot Description

Early 20th century silver cream jug, the bulbous body embossed with alternating horizontal bands containing fluting and scrolling foliage, also with two small vacant cartouche, the whole with flat top handle and on circular footed base.  Hallmarked George Nathan & Ridley Hayes Chester 1913.  Maximum height measures 3 3/4 inches (9.5cm), weight 6 ozt (188 grams).

The jug displays general wear, light tarnishing and surface marks and scratches.  There are also some minor nicks in the metal, especially around the main rim and foot rim.  There are some very minor cracks at the join of the spout to the main body.  Hallmarks are clear and legible.
