Lot Description
1930's silver mounted rectangular table cigarette box, the hinged cover with engine turned decoration and central initialled Art Deco style cartouche, wood lined interior with partition. Hallmarked A E Poston & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1939. Measuring 6 1/4 inches (16cm) by 3 1/2 inches (9cm).

Condition Report
The box displays general wear, tarnishing and surface marks and scratches. There is slightly more wear to the edges and corners and also some minor nicks and dints in the metal in places. The hinge is in good working order but the lid does not shut properly because the wood lining to the interior of the lid is loose. Hallmarks are slightly rubbed but still clear and legible.
