Lot Description

Edwardian silver sauce boat, the main body with gadrooning to rim and engraved fleur-de-lis crest to one side, with leaf capped double scroll handle and standing on three shell and stepped hoof feet. Hallmarked William Aitken Birmingham 1904. Height including handle measures 3 3/4 inches (9.5cm), weight 5.7 ozt (177.7 grams).

The item displays general wear, tarnishing and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Minor nicks in the metal and a few small dints to the main body. Hallmarks are slightly rubbed but still clear and legible.
