Lot Description

A selection of seventeen early 20th century brooches to include a Charles Horner silver and paste brooch, a hand brooch and fifteen others. AF. Ten with silver hallmarks for Chester or Birmingham. Four stamped 925 or silver. Remaining three unhallmarked. Total weight 65.4gms.

The lot is in fair overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The brooches show various degrees of tarnish/discolouration. Four brooches have no pins and most have replacement pins and/or C clasps with some missing the clasp. Most brooches show significant dents. The Horner brooch has a replacement stone which is badly set and the silver is loose and bent. The hand brooch has a large volume of soft solder to the C clasp.
