Lot Description

A George III silver key wind pair case pocket watch by D Benham of London, the white enamel dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, outer minute track, the plain cases both hallmarked London 1812, monogram engraving to rear of inner case, fitted with signed full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement. Outer case diameter 58mm. Outer case is extensively damaged and A/F.

Pair case open faced pocket watch, key less manual wind movement is not currently functioning, dial shows marks, hands appear to be differing colours, dial also shows some marks, glass has marks and some scratches, case shows marks and scratches, side of the case shows wear from sitting inside the outer case, back of the case shows denting, back of the case also shows a monogram and date engraving, pendent and bow have tarnishing, outer case has splits to the silver to form noticeable holes to the rear, outer case also shows dents and tarnishing.
