Lot Description

A gold plated keyless wind open face Waltham pocket watch, the white dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track, subsidiary seconds dial positioned to six o'clock, round case with milled band, engine turned decoration and vacant cartouche to rear, fitted with signed three quarter plate movement with club tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 51mm.

A rolled gold pocket watch. The keyless wind movement is currently functioning although it is dirty, there are signs of light tarnishing to the winding wheels, the hand setting feels slightly rough and the escape wheel chaton has been replaced previously. The movement will require a service. The dial has a hairline crack to eight o'clock. Hands possess some tarnishing and surface rust. Case bears general marks, scratches and tarnishing from use, the most obvious being to the edges. There are some more pronounced scrapes of wear to the bezel. Glass is lightly scratched in a variety of places.
