Lot Description

A 19th century continental metal key wind open face pocket watch, white enamel dial, black Roman numerals with surrounding gold dot minute track, gilt decoration to dial, hands Louis XVI style, decorated case back with vacant cartouche, inside numbered 55516, dust cover marked "J Lafat a l'Isle -Jourdain", movement has a solid balance and a cylinder escapement. Case diameter 42mm.

A 19th century continental metal pocket watch, the key wind movement is currently functioning, the dial appears to be in a quite good condition but it it chipped between six and seven o'clock, under closer inspection there are some small scuffs notcieable in various places, hands also seem to be slightly scratched in show some light discolouration, glass has general marks and scratches consistent with general use, case seems to be in the same state, it is darkened and has tiny dints in various places, decorations to the case back are slightly rubbed.
