Lot Description

A Victorian 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch, the gilt dial with hourly applied Roman numerals, floral decoration to the centre, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, outer minute track, the round case hallmarked London 1865, engine turned decoration to band and rear, vacant cartouche to the rear, presentation engraving to cuvette, full plate fusee and chain movement signed George Lewis, Coventry with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 50mm. Total weight 114gms.

18ct gold pocket watch, movement is currently functioning, dial appears to have scratches and marks as a result of use, there is visible damage to the paint work of the Roman numerals, hands appear to have scratches, marks and light discolouration, glass appears in general good condition but there are some light surface scratches as a result of use, case is lightly scratched and scuffed as a result of use, the edges of the case back design appear rubbed, there is a personal engraving the dust cover.
