An early 20th century 9ct gold opal and diamond brooch. The oval opal cabochon with vari-cut diamond collet accents to the openwork scrolling bar and surround. Length 4.6cms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The clasp may be a replacement. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated total diamond weight 0.15ct, individual diamonds are too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades though most appear to have slightly indented naturals to some facets. The opal has a good play of colour with a wide range of colours. The opal has light surface scratches. Together with a loose safety chain. Weight 4.1gms. Touchstone test as 9ct gold.
