Lot Description

A Victorian garnet cluster bracelet, circa 1880. The vari-cut garnet cluster locket within a scroll and foliate embossed surround to the rectangular link strap. Length 18cms. Weight 30.1gms.

The bangle is in overall fair condition. There are areas of discolouration to the outside of the locket. One of the garnets is chipped and there is abrasion to the facet edges of many visible with magnification. Some of the claw settings may need to be secured. There is discolouration to the ball link spacers. The locket opens and closes securely. There are scratches and dents to the strap, there are some file marks to the outer surround of the locket. There is some possible repair work to one of the links. The clasp is secure.
