Lot Description

Cased pair of silver monogrammed napkin rings with twist and bead border, hallmarked Lanson Ltd, Birmingham 1942. Together with three other silver napkin rings and a silver vesta case hallmarked W J Myatt & Co, Birmingham, 1912. Total gross weight 144.7 grams. (5).

1940s napkin rings in good condition - silver showing some wear, marks somewhat rubbed, oval in shape measuring 5cm by 3.4 cm approximately, initials one JMS, the other PS, case in good working order. Other napkins rings all circular two of plain design and the other with rectangular cartouche and engine turned decoration. Engine turned ring hallmarked W&H, Birmingham 1967, diameter 4.2 cm, larger napkin ring has ridged edges and is hallmarked W&H, Sheffield 1925, diameter 4.2 cm, lighter and smaller napkin ring hallmarked Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings Shepherd,  Chester , 1907. Vesta case showing some dents and discolouration, hinge and lid in good working order, needs a good clean, measures 3.9 cm by 2.8 cm.
