Lot Description

An early twentieth century Austro-Hungarian silver and enamelled miniature dressing table set comprising of powder compact cases, perfume bottle, pocket strike and hand mirror, each piece decorated with cream enamel and painted pink roses in vase. Together with a further Austro-Hungarian silver and enamel cigarette holder and miniature rouge case with similar floral patterning. (7).

All in good general condition considering age. All cases have gilded interior - silver showing wear and tarnishing, could do with good clean, all hinges in good working order, case with mirror showing some signs of repair to hinge, mirror mottled as would expect given age, smallest case has diameter of 2.55cm, mirrored case 5.3cm, larger case 4.64cm. Perfume bottle has removable screw top, silver showing tarnishing, length 6.24cm. Cigarette holder has enamel and silver tip, mouthpiece possibly made of ivory, some looseness between tip and mouthpiece, showing general wear and tear, including some to the enamel at edge of tip in keeping with age and use, length 11cm. Pocket strike in need of good clean, some damage to enamel at edges either side, suspension loop attached, measures 3.9 by 2.7 cm. Mirror also in need of good clean, silver tarnished, mirror very mottled and cracked, fitted with suspension loop, length 8.7 cm.  Silver marks clear on most pieces.
