Lot Description
A continental white metal oval seal box, the hinged lid depicting a crowned central portrait of George I with classical ornamental surround and gilt interior, unmarked. Width measuring 81 mm, weight 56 grams.

Condition Report
The box displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age. The hinge appears quite large with surrounding reinforcement panels. There is some rubbing to the detail on the decoration. The border to the lid appears to have been previously gilded. A number of dints visible to the underside. The gilding to the interior appears bright with some obvious scuffs and marks. The hinge a little loose.
