Lot Description

George IV silver snuff box of curved rectangular form with rounded edges and foliate patterning, the hinged lid further decorated with floral detail and rectangular cartouche and opening to reveal a polished gilded interior. Hallmarked Thomas & William Simpson, Birmingham 1823. Measuring 6.18 cm x 3.12 cm, weight 24.7 grams.

In good condition considering its age. Silver showing wear and tear including discolouration and a few dents. Hinged lid a little loose. Gilded interior showing discolouration and hallmarks somewhat worn.
