Lot Description

A selection of silver and white metal pieces to include two late Victorian silver brooches, three gem set Scottish brooches and an engraved brooch depicting Aston Hall. (13) Five with marks indicating silver, two with hallmarks for Birmingham 1886 and 1898. Gross weight 82.1gms.

Overall poor to good condition, all pieces show surface scratches, minor nicks and varying degrees of tarnishing in keeping with general wear. The Victorian horse shoe brooch has a large dint to the front, to one of the Scottish brooches there is a small chip and crack to the triangular agate, there is discolouration around the centre imitation opal to another Scottish brooch which seems to have been caused by adhesive. To the singular Victoria coin brooch has a loose replacement pin. The dog brooch is noticeably tarnished.
