Lot Description

A stainless steel manual wind gentleman's chronograph wrist watch by Eterna circa 1936, the black regulator style dial with offset main dial to twelve o'clock having gilt Arabic numerals alternating with baton hour markers, subsidiary minute counter to six o'clock, central tachymeter scale, all surrounded by an outer seconds track, the circular shaped case numbered 2404929, fitted to an associated black leather strap with pin buckle, signed fifteen jewel Venus calibre 140 with single button chronograph complication. Case diameter 31mm.

Eterna wrist watch, manual wind movement is currently functioning, chronograph function appears to be functioning, textured dial has light surface scratches and there is visible damage to the paint work, hands have chipped paint work and are patchy in colour, glass has light scratcheds that should polish out, case has medium scratches as a result of wear, case back has noticeable heavy scratches, crown has surface scratches and metal appears to be tarnished and rubbed, watch fitted to strap which shows signs of wear with creases and cracking, pin buckle appears to be lightly scratched.
