Lot Description

A Victorian 18ct gold keyless wind full hunter pocket watch signed Robert Roskell of London and Liverpool, the cream enamel dial having black Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, surrounded by an outer minute track, the case, hallmarked London 1899, maker's mark EN, with personal engraving to hallmarked cuvette, monogram to case front, fitted with a signed gilt three quarter plate going barrel movement numbered 74750, having chaton set train jewelling, ratchet tooth lever escapement, bi-metal compensation balance, blued overcoil hairspring and diamond end stone. Case diameter 54mm. Total weight 153gms. With base metal fetter link chain with mounted 1806 forty Francs coin and presentation box.

Victorian 18ct full hunter pocket watch, movement is currently functioning, dial appear to be in good condition, hands have a great blue color with minor specs of corrosion that are only apparent when closer inspection, glass has very minor scratches on the surface, case is lightly scratched with general wear, dust cover is engraved with a personal message for a 21st birthday, 8th march 1900, combined with fob that contains a 40 francs coin dated 1806.
