Lot Description

Two early 19th century enamel items comprising: a circular pot, painted with a scene of a figure on a quayside before tall-masted ships, possible Francis Drake before the Spanish Armada (bowls at his feet), the large packing boxes beside the figure inscribed "1745" and "No 23", the bulging body painted with flowers and insects, a further insect beneath, 2.5" diameter x 1.2" high, (6.5cm x 3cm) (at fault), and a salt, the apple green enamel exterior decorated with three floral panels raised on shell feet, 3" diameter x 1.2" high, (7.5cm x 3cm), (2)
