Lot Description

A 19th century French gilt metal and Sevres-style porcelain mantel clock. Having a 3" (7.5cm) porcelain Roman dial with gilt divisions, centred by a painted landscape within bleu celeste borders, the single-train timepiece movement, numbered 30677 and 44435. The case with standing female figure, drum head dial housing and foliage over spreading platform inset with three floral porcelain panels raised on square supports, 14" (35.5cm) high, on original giltwood base, sold with further ebonised plinth and glass dome
