Lot Description

A good mahogany-cased three-train chiming bracket or table clock. Anonymous, circa 1900, having an 8" arched dial, the silvered chapter ring with Roman hours, Arabic minutes and fleur-de-lis half hour divisions framing a matted centre, within cast spandrels beneath three subsidiary dials for Chime/Silent, Slow/Fast, and Chime on 8 Bells/Westminster Chime respectively, the chain-driven triple-fusee movement, striking on a coiled gong and quarter-chiming on a carillon, numbered 120, the case having a caddy top with cup-and-cover finials to the corners and the podium surmount, over cast terms, arched bezel and paw feet, 28.5", (72.5cm) high.
