Lot Description

A good 18th century French contra-boulle clock bracket. Having a cavetto-moulded superstructure with internal recess 10" wide x 6" deep, the oak body finely inlaid in brass, tortoiseshell, mother-of-pearl, green- and red-stained ivory with foliage and blossom (extensive losses), with cast mounts including urns and masks, 17" x 9" x 12" high, (43cm x 23cm x 30.5cm) (A/F)
