Lot Description

A fine 19th century French champleve enamel and porcelain clock garniture by Collot, Paris. The clock having a 3.75" (9.5cm) gilt Arabic dial with rosette centre and pikestaff hands, the two-train movement with Japy Freres exhibition stamp, numbered 2442 and stamped A1 within an oval, striking on a coiled gong. The case with shaped enamel surmount and sides framing a porcelain panel of Cupid and Psyche, raised on a shaped enamelled apron with integral swept bracket feet, the sides and rear with bevelled glazing. 12.5" (31.5cm) height, with mercury two-jar pendulum; together with a matching pair of urns, each with waisted enamelled neck, porcelain body painted with a female musician and attendant putto, between cast handles on enamelled socle and base as per the clock. 10" (25.5cm) height, sold with a later custom made wooden carrying box and plinth
