Lot Description

A late 19th century brooch of pentagonal design with rows of seed pearls surmounted by six larger imitation pearls, together with an early 20th century gold crescent and swallow brooch set with split pearls. AF. Stamped 15ct. Lengths 4.2 to 4.6cms.

The seed pearl brooch is in fair to good condition there are blemishes to all the seed pearls.. There are three strings that are noticeably broken towards the edge of the brooch. There looks to have been some repairs to some of the strings of seed pearls. The hinge to the swallow brooch is twisted and there is a split between the base of the hinge and the brooch, there is soft solder clearly visible were this has once been repaired. There are two split pearls missing. The split pearls are not very well matched and blemishes can be seen to some.
