Lot Description

A reconstituted amber brooch, the three pear-shape reconstituted amber drops suspended from an oval reconstituted amber cabochon within a scrolling surround. Length 8cms. Gross weight 22gms.

Condition Report

Overall condition fair. There are scratches and areas of black discolouration to the surmount. The back pin appears to have been added at a later date. There is visible mesh style patterning to the back of each amber panel and also to the front of the principal piece. There are some chips near to the holes of the suspended drops.
