Lot Description

A 9ct gold amethyst and cultured pearl wreath brooch. The alternate circular-shape amethyst and cultured pearls with foliate detail. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1960. Diameter 2.5cms.

Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with general wear. The amethysts have a medium purple hue with even colour fairly even saturation. The cultured pearls are well matched. Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source. Weight 2.8gms.
