Lot Description

A George III silver key wind open face pair case pocket watch by Heeley & Burt, the white dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track, plain round case, hallmarks for London, possibly 1775, fitted with a signed gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement and pierced balance cock. Outer case diameter 49mm.

A silver pocket watch, movement is not functioning, a few small areas of discolouration on the movement, screws shoe signs of use, dial is marked with areas of slight discolouration, dial has numerous cracks, hands are marked and discoloured, glass is lightly scratched, should polish out, case is significantly discoloured, would benefit from a clean, medium scratches caused by general wear, tiny dints, pocket watch case is discoloured, medium scratched, front of case has a few small dents at the top.
