Lot Description

A rolled gold keyless wind open face pocket watch by Elgin, the white enamel dial with hourly applied Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track with Arabic divisions, sunken subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, round case with milled band numbered 2118903, fitted with a signed twenty-one jewel Veritas movement with damascene detail to plates, chaton set train jewelling, club tooth "moustache" form lever escapement, split bi-metal compensation balance, overcoil hairspring and Elgin micro regulator. Case diameter 51mm.

Elgin pocket watch, keyless wind movement is currently functioning, few tiny marks and bits of debris to the dial, small areas of rust to the hands, the glass is scratched, case has heavy scratches and scuffs, very heavy rubbing to the plating in particular to the milled band, remnants of a very heavily rubbed cartouche to the rear, rubbing to the plating of the pendant.
