Lot Description

A William IV silver key wind open face pair case pocket watch by James Cawson of Liverpool, the cream tone dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track, plain round case, hallmarked Chester 1836, fitted with a signed full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement and pierced balance cock. Outer case diameter 56mm.

Silver key wind pair case pocket watch, movement is not functioning, unable to wind movement which will indicate a deeper problem, dial has cracks and chips, dial appears discoloured and showing marks too, hands appear discoloured and showing marks, glass is scratched and easily comes away from case, case has medium scratches, tarnishing and shallow dents from use, outer case is heavily discoloured and scratched, hinges appear to be in general working order, bow and pendant and showing signs of wear and are loose.
