Lot Description

A George IV silver key wind pair case pocket watch, the white dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, surrounded by a minute track, plain round case, hallmarked London 1824, fitted with a gilt full plate fusee and chain movement signed Thurrock of Preston, having verge escapement and pierced balance cock. Outer case diameter 49mm. With key.

Pair case pocket watch, movement is functioning, dial is showing cracks and dark marks, hands appear discoloured and show marks and scratches, glass is heavily scratched with residue and dirt visible to both sides of glass, outer case is heavily scratched and worn from use, metal is heavily discoloured, pusher to open outer case is missing, inner case is scratched and tarnished, hinges are all working, pendant is loose.
