Lot Description

A 20th century silver keyless wind open faced pocket chronograph signed G. Croft and Company, the white enamel dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, sunken subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, bordered by a minute track and tachymeter scale, plain round case, hallmarked Chester 1945, fitted with a signed frosted gilt three quarter plate movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement and chronograph complication. Case diameter 55mm. Watch A/F.

Silver keyless wind pocket watch, movement is not functioning, there is a problem with the keyless work which will require repair, chronograph function is not functioning and there is evidence of repair within the movement as screws have been replaced which sit very high, dial shows discolouration, marks and cracks to dial, hands show slight discolouration and marks, seconds hand to subsidiary dial appears short and possibly broken or cut, case has medium scratches from use, case back shows some light dents, pendant and crown show scratches.
