Lot Description

A late Victorian 18ct gold pearl and diamond cluster ring, circa 1890. The split pearl within a single-cut diamond surround, to the openwork gallery and ridged shoulders. Partial hallmarks for Birmingham.

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The band has been repaired/resized, partially obliterating the hallmarks, with moderate pitting and slight variation in colour. The split pearl is a slightly yellowish creamy body colour with minor orient. The diamonds appear mostly bright and well matched, with one diamond appearing darker, estimated total diamond weight 0.20ct. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades though some have moderate chips. Ring size K. Weight 3.4gms.
