Lot Description

A mid to late 19th century carved bone brooch, of openwork design, the oval-shape carved bone panel depicting the Doves of Pliny, within an intertwined surround. Length 6cms.

Overall condition good. Surface scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Discolouration to bone panel in places. Discolouration to mount due to possible alteration. Glass panel missing.
