A pair of Japanese Meiji period ivory okimono. Each of sectional form with vegetable ivory head, he modelled as a peasant carrying a basket of mushrooms on his back, holding a staff, 6.5" (16.5cm) high. She as a bijin or geisha, holding a tea bowl and fan, wearing a kimono, 6.25" 16cm) high.
