Lot Description

A WWI black painted and brass bodied military folding compass within leather case. The compass with engraved detail Verner's pattern VII. To its back further engraving E-Koehn Geneve Suisse  and date 1917. The leather case impressed T. French & Co Ltd., London, 1917.

The compass is losing its black painted finished in many areas. To the back of the compass is a rubber ring, this has began to perish. The suspension ring from the top of the compass has an area of damage. Case is worn but intact.
