Lot Description

A brass carriage clock plus an Elliott mantel clock. The former with cream Arabic chapter ring, the lever platform escapement striking on a coiled gong, in a corniche case (to restore), 5.25", (13.5cm) high excluding handle, sold with winder and travelling box, the Elliott clock having a 3.5" silvered dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes within angel spandrels, the back-wound timepiece movement with lever platform escapement, 5.75", (14.5cm) high, (2).

Condition Report

1. Screw missing to secure one hilt of handle to roof. Roof glass loose. Balance wheel moves freely when prompted. Staining to front panel around chapter ring. Knob missing to rear door handle. The case needs a clean. Box is very dog-eared and damp stained, lacking glass. Handle ragged and loose at one end.

2. Good condition.
