Lot Description

A surveyor's brass-cased compass and level by Field of London. The removable cover with engraved divisions marked "Diff of Hypo & Base", enclosing a glazed compass with stepped silvered dial marked 'Field, London', the dial 4.5", (11.5cm) diameter, the whole in fitted mahogany case with interior label "Repaired & Adjusted by J. Haleden & Co Ltd", dated 1911.
