An Edwardian 'goliath' type pocket watch in silver case. Having a 2.25" white-enamelled Roman dial with subsidiary seconds at XII, marked "8 DAYS", retailer's name indistinct [Castle]?, with 'top'-wound movement (crown at 6), the case stamped "DEPOSE ARGENTAN", in a hinged silver-fronted case with repousse decoration, hallmarked Birmingham, 1905, maker H. Matthews, with easel support, 4.25" x 3.75", (11cm x 9.5cm).
